Meet the captain

Elena Marsh

She owns the company, holds the license, and is the person at the helm on every sail we sell.

Captain Elena Marsh at the wheel under way

Elena grew up crewing her father's fishing boat out of Harbor Sound and spent eleven seasons delivering other people's yachts across the Atlantic before she decided she would rather own three cabins than run somebody else's fifty. She bought the boat in 2008, put her own name on the license, and has run every season since.

The rule that shapes the whole company is six guests. It is small enough that she cooks breakfast, calls the route, and knows by the second morning who wants the helm and who wants the shade. It is also small enough that she can move a voyage a day either way when the forecast asks her to, which is the part guests remember later.

In season she is on the dock most mornings, so the number on this page reaches her rather than an office. She would rather answer twenty questions before you book than one after.

Captain Marsh reads the water and the crew the same way, and by the end of day one we were family.
