The week itself
Short hops, long lunches, calm water
The Ionian is the gentlest sailing in Greece, which is why we put the spring voyage here. Most days are a two or three hour sail, an afternoon at anchor, and dinner somewhere you can walk to from the dock.
- Day 1
Board in Corfu, provisions aboard, first night in the old harbor
- Day 2
South to Paxos and a swim stop at the Antipaxos sandbars
- Day 3
Cross to Lefkada and anchor under the pines at Vlicho Bay
- Day 4
Meganisi, a long lunch in Spartochori, evening on deck
- Day 5
Ithaca, the walk up to Vathy for the view down the inlet
- Day 6
Kefalonia, Fiskardo harbor and the best meal of the week
- Day 7
North again with the afternoon breeze, last night at anchor
- Day 8
Return to Corfu, ashore by mid morning
